Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus. ( 6hrs drive ). Overnight at Pokhara Hotel.

Pokhara to Lowang 1600m by bus/ 2hrs overnight at local home stay.

Lowang to Dhampus 1650m by walk/ 5hrs overnight at local home stay.

Dhampus to Astham 1300m by walk/4hr. Overnight at Home stay.

Astham to Pokhara via Suikhet / 2hrs walk and 1 hrs drive to Pokhara.

Journey to Dhampus village, one of the delightful trek of Nepal, beginning with half hour drive from Pokhara to Phedi village, followed by walk. When you come out from jungle to reach Dhampus, you will be able to wonder at the outstanding view of Mt. Machhapuchhare. Commonly known as Fishtail Mountain (6991m) for peak resemble the figure of fish’s tail. Dhampus Lowang home stay trek village is a famous journey.

We will start our trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara where we will stay overnight and the next day we will head towards Lowang village by four-wheel jeep. This is 1.45 hrs jeep drive from Pokhara. Mardi Himal Trek is another one sophisticated trek that you can make from Dhampus.

We will stay our first night in Home stay in Lowang village and stroll around the village. The next village will be Dhampus where we will stay at Home stay. The next morning we will see sunrise and panoramic mountain views from Dhampus. After a sumptuous local breakfast, we will head towards another iconic village Astam.

Astam is the village located on the top of Hillock. We can see Machhapuchhre Mt Fishtail just in the front from this village. This village is mostly inhabited by Brahmin, Chhetri & Gurung people. We will be staying in the local Home stay in this village. From this village we can see Sarangkot in the south, Mt Fishtail straight in the north and the mighty Annapurna range.

Astam can be reached easily by road from Pokhara. It takes about 1 hour from Pokhara. Astam village tour provides the chance to view the people growing, harvesting and processing locally grown foods like coconuts, pineapple, sugarcane corn etc. However, it is more enjoyable to walk from the highway. In Pokhara you visit Fewa lake, Davi’s falls, World peace pagoda and others attractions. Dhampus Village trek will be very much fruitful as you can see beautiful Pokhara Valley from there and distance from Pokhara to Dhampus is not so far.
